I have a confession: I'm writing this post WAY WAY past the day she turned 10 months (November 16th.) It's HARD keeping up with a blog and the guilt I feel for falling behind is surprisingly STRONG. :( I'm hoping to stay more on top in the future.

And now... back to our post!

10 Months

From 2009 - 11 - November

- As of Nov 3rd, she can full on army crawl! She's starting to pick up speed and is officially MOBILE! Watch out, world!
- Worst teething ever on Nov 8th combined w/ separation anxiety. At least, we think that's what it was! That 7th tooth never showed and she still has just the 6 teeth she's had. Whatever it was caused her LOTS of distress and I ended up sleeping on an Aero Bed in her room with her in my arms. We both barely slept since she isn't used to co-sleeping anymore, but it was our only choice due to her FREAKING OUT if we left her in her crib. Thankfully that fun little phase passed in a few days.
- Still same size everything. I don't think she's grown too much at all. (No official measurements to share.)
- Schedule is exactly the same as last month.
- Mads waves at everyone and everything lately!! It's so adorable to be out in public, she'll make eye contact with someone, and then she'll smile and wave. Some people get SO happy! It makes me proud of her that she can brighten someone's day like that. She also waves if you just say "Hiiii" or "Bye Bye." She also starts clapping if you just say, "Yaaaaay!"

Dear Madison,

I love you.

I love the extra roll of chub around your thighs.
The way you giggle and squirm when I tickle your back.
I love how your face lights up when I walk into the room.
The way to babble entire conversations.
How you turn the pages of your books.
And how you always skip the boring black and white pages in 'Goodnight Moon."
I love the dimples that frame your brilliant smile.
The way you say, "mama."
And the way that your hair smells.
I love when you lay your head on my shoulder when you're sleepy.
And the sound of your belly laugh when we play.
How your tummy sticks out after a big meal.
I love the look on your face when you see other babies/kids.
That sometimes I'm the only person in the world that you want.
I love the way you stroke my hair while you nurse.
And how you twitch in your sleep.

I love you more than I could ever explain.

Goodnight Moon

One of my favorite parts of the day is snuggling up with Madison to read "Goodnight Moon" right before bedtime.

She's Officially Mobile!

Today Madison started full-on army crawling!! I can't believe we actually have a mobile baby now.

And I have the video to prove it.

Time to finish baby-proofing because she's into everything now!

First Real Day in the Office

Madison and I have been working from home up until now (what?? she helps!). Well today she joined me in the office and I'm happy to report that it went really well!

She took two awesome naps (over 1.5 hours each). Here she is just waking up in her PeaPod.

Halloween 2009

We had a fantastic time yesterday for Madison's very first Halloween!

First we went to Oakridge Mall to costume-watch and grab some lunch as our little family of 3.

Then after M's 2nd nap, we went to the San Jose Municipal Stadium to meet up with some friends and checkout the celebration they were holding. There were so many adorable children and costumes!! It was a lot of fun to just hang out on the baseball field while the little ones played.

We had to leave pretty quickly, though, because we then went over to my parent's house to man the candy/door. When my parents got home, M's Grandpa, myself, Jason, an the little flower fairy went out Trick or Treating!

Madison had a ton of fun, we enjoyed a nice dinner with my parental units (and brother), and M stayed up REALLY late and kept it together. We kept expecting a meltdown and it never really came. She was out like a light when we got home and even slept through the punks ringing our (covered) doorbell at 9:30.
