In Memory of Steve Irwin - Croc Hunter

I really loved Steve Irwin. I was an Animal Planet addict throughout his career. I am very saddened by his loss and miss him already. I will pray for his family - his wife Terri and his 2 beautiful children.

The Birthday!

My birthday was on Friday the 25th. I had a wonderful weekend celebrating. On Friday, J got up early to make me pancakes and then we went off to work. Ate cake and had an easy day. That night, we went out with a ton of friends to Katie Blooms in Campbell for drinks. Thanks to everyone who came out.. I had a blast!!

Today, J and my mom put together a bbq at my parent's home. We ate food, played some scene it, and had a good time.

Cupcake Swap

Went to a cupcake swap with a bunch of nester friends on Saturday. I had such a fun time chatting and partaking in far too much sugar! Angela is such a fabulous hostess and shared her beautiful home with us.

I Painted!

While J was working last weekend, I spent the morning painting a wall in our living room. I really like how it turned out and I think I did pretty good for my first time at it!

Well, I got A's in all of my summer school classes and they are officially over!! YAY!! To celebrate, J took me out to PF Chang's for dinner last night!



It still amazes me that this place has a 45-60 minute wait on a Thursday! Luckily it's in a mall and window shopping is a fun way to wait for your table. After browsing around looking at all the pretty clothes I can't afford, we were seated. Our meal was delicious and our waitress was lovely. We ordered crispy honey shrimp (my fav!!!), chicken fried rice, and garlic snap peas. Yummy, yummy. I forgot how much I love their food! I considered ordering desert there, but decided to stop by the Cheesecake Factory on our way to the car. I'm definitely glad we did that, because the Adam's Peanutbutter Cup Fudge Ripple was delish.

This is me in the final few days of finals. I can't wait for my "real" summer to be here after summer classes are over. If I stay on track, I'll be finished Monday night!

Current standings:
- Finished Business class with an A
- 2 Sections left in Computer course
- Some homework and 3 tests left in Accounting

Bring Your Pets To Work Day

At least it was for our family yesterday. At our apartments, they were doing the yearly alarm test. This is no ordinary alarm.. It's an extremely loud screeching inside and out of the apatments. It's a horrid noise, seriously. And it goes on for HOURS. Soooo.. We had to bring our 2 cats and our frog in to work with us!!!

I thought we had 2 cat carriers.. Apparently we don't. Jase had to hold our fatty kitty on his lap for the full half hour drive into work (and home from work). We were already running late and had to construct something to block of this unused hallway to keep them in. THEN our big kitty jumps over the barricade and we have to round him up. It's finally set up so they can't get out... They are darn cute, though. And actually behaved very well, considering.

It's mohawk time!!

So my hottie husband allowed me to abuse his hair style today... I opted for the mohawk or "fauxhawk", technically. He will probably make me shave it off before the night is over, but I have photo documentation!!
