Thanksgiving 2009

We started the day by snuggling up on the couch in our jammies to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Madison loved it and kept waving to the TV since all the people on the floats were waving at her!

After her second nap, we headed over to Maddie's Nonni's house for a huge T-Day dinner with Grandparents Fisher, Uncle Alex, and Nonni. We all made WAY TOO MUCH amazingly delicious food and had a great dinner.

Madison had her own specially prepared home-cooked Thanksgiving dinner. It consisted of turkey with misc winter squash, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, and a Maddie-sized pumpkin pie for dessert. I made the crust out of oatmeal and the filling was pureed pumpkin with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Did I mention I went a little too heavy on the cinnamon in Mads' pumpkin pie? Her reaction is PRICELESS. Yes, she actually shuddered. Oops!

We are particularly thankful this year and it was really nice to spend the day reflecting. Oh and we're also thankful for the Cowboys' win! ;)
