I chopped off my hair!

This is the shortest it has been since junior high!

Please excuse the lack of make-up and grumpy look on my face. :P

Some long-overdue photos: Part 2

These are from skiing at Dodge Ridge with my brother, Alex. We drove the RV up there on a weekday morning, stayed that night, skied the next day, then drove back that afternoon. We had such a fun time. The slopes were practically EMPTY!

My li'l bro.

And just because he is so cute: My little frog man taking a stroll around his tank.

Some long-overdue photos: Part 1

First, some San Jose Shark photos!

This first set is from when we lost to the Oilers (*ick!*). But we had a good time anyway.

Okay, not the best seat in the house. ;)

Now onto the Blackhawk game from Feb 3rd when we took Dominic for his birthday.

My man, Toskala, in net! This view is from my single seat in the 200s. Dom and Jase were in the lower section.

Woo! Vesa was the 1st "star of the game"! He had TWO assists that night. Awesome!

And some Superbowl Cuteness! This is Jordan hanging out with us while we all watched the game (Go Colts)!

I apologize...

I apologize to those who read my blog for my extreme lack of updates. School is in full swing and it keeping me very busy! Any free time I come up with tends to be spent vegging in front of the tv (my favorite past time. lol.) instead of doing anything productive. Jason's lucky the house isn't a mess!

I'm keeping up my full time job and taking about 18 units of online classes:
- International Business
- Business Law
- 2nd Level Accounting
- Keyboarding (HA!)
- Computer (windows) class (double HA!)

I'll try to keep updating every once in a while, but no promises on how often those will come. In the mean time, wish me luck! I'm trying my hardest not to stress out! (any tips?? I stress and break out in hives. Lovely.)

Ski Photos

Puttin' on the sunscreen.

Even the parking lots are pretty in Tahoe.

All geared up.

Ski master!

Snow bunny.

Beautiful view!

It's been over 5 years since I skiied. Cut me some slack on the newbie stance! ;)

Waiting for the lift.

Dave & Natalie in our room.

Cool place where we had dinner (FiRE & iCE)

Tearing up the slopes!

Jase and I took a mini-vacation with our good friends, Dave & Natalie, to South Lake Tahoe to do some skiing (Jan 7-10). It will take me a little while to get the photos up, but for now, here's a video of Jason skiing on Monday.

Superwife's Rockin' New Year's Eve

We rang in 2007 at Jase's best friend Dominic's house surrounded by many other good friends. 2006 was a wonderful year and I'm looking forward to 2007 being even better!!

My Holiday in Pieces Part 4

Our Holiday - Part 4 - Romantic Trip to Newport

Jase and I took a day trip up the Oregon Coast on the 29th. Scott generously let us borrow his car and we headed out in the morning. Garmin, our new GPS navigator, lead the way.

We stopped in Yachats at The Drift Inn for a delicious breakfast.

The view from the window.

Next Stop: Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport

The puffin was posing for us!

Hard to tell, but this was the FLOOR of a tunnel that runs through the exhibit. There was a diver down there cleaning up. It was strange walking on the class with sharks and critters swimming by.

The tunnel above.

Parts of the aquarium were outside: it was raining.

Wolf eel! They are so ugly, they're cool.

And BABY wolf eels! They were about 2"!

We had a great time at the aquarium. While nothing compares to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, it did still have some things that the MBAQ didn't have (like a large sea lion and seal exhibit.) Plus, it used to be home to Keiko (Free Willy!).

Now onto the Yaquina lighthouses. First we visited the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse in town.

This sign was making me laugh for some reason. The little man looks so helpless! They have this same sign posted up and down the highway.

The bridge in Newport.

The stairs inside of the house part.

View from one of the windows.

Then we headed North out of town to Yaquina Head Lighthouse. It was built to replace the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse. But before checking it out, we went down to the tide pools to do a little exploring.

Here's what the "beach" is composed of.

Jason making his way down.

Critters in the tide pool.

Just a small part of the tide pools. They were really expansive.

The sea urchins are in carved-out holes in the rock.

A really pretty birdy! We saw it catch a fish as we were leaving.

The stairs looking up. (I actually got a little nervous near the top)

Base under the light.

The actual light. I thought it would be a lot brighter than it actually was.
