The family and I started the day by heading out to Redwood City for their annual parade and festival. We were invited by Joann and Josh and had a great time hanging out with them and watching the parade go by while the guys tossed back a couple of beers. Maddie was great and seemed to enjoy watching things march by her - especially the dancers in colorful outfits! She waved her little flag and was babbling away.

After the parade we headed over to my parent's house for a BBQ with them, my brother, and Jason's mom. It was a lot of fun except for Maddie the fuss-bucket. We headed back home in time for Mads' bedtime (7:00) and decided to skip out on fireworks this year.
