Very long story short, we have just moved in with Jason's Dad, Stepmom, and young sister and brother. They've been wonderful in offering their gorgeous home to us so that we can save up some extra money before the baby gets here. I'm happy to mention that we're doing this because we think it's the right decision and not because we have to or are in a financial crunch.
The rental market is shockingly expensive right now and we're excited to NOT be renting for a few months! We moved in all last weekend and turned in our keys for our old apartment yesterday. Our new room / bathroom is still in chaos (which I HATE!!! messy=bad) while we un-pack, but I hope to be done and settled by the end of this week. I'll post some photos when it gets pulled together.

12 Weeks
I'm obviously behind on posting about the pregnancy (when am I not behind on this blog?) so I'm doing some catch up today.
I'm 12 weeks today!

Luckily, there isn't too much to report. I'm almost out of my first trimester and have escaped relatively unscathed. My persistent symptoms have been nausea and fatigue, but they haven't been terrible. Due to the nausea, though, I am back down to my weight pre-pregnancy, so I was advised by my doctor to try to eat more often to get some extra calories. It's so strange to go from dieting before the pregnancy (when all I wanted to do was EAT) to being able to eat extra (when the last thing I want to see is food.)
I did have a bit of an "incident" at the end of my recent trip to Cozumel, Mexico (more on that trip in a separate post) when I had... shall we say... some intestinal issues that required an emergency trip to the OB (Dr. M.) She listened to Sprout with a doppler and all seemed well. We were obviously very relieved.
Jason. He's been so amazing. He wants to do anything he can to help and let me be a total slug around the house when I was at my most tired. I swear he was like my willing (free!) butler. I'm not sure he realizes just how much I appreciate that. I really feel like we're in this pregnancy together. Even though I'm the one carrying our child, I know that ANYTHING he can do to make it easier for me, he'll do. He also hasn't missed a doctor's appointment yet. He usually comes with his own short list of questions and is generally really involved. He's just amazing and will be such a wonderful father!
And now for some baby bumps. These were all take in Mexico at approx 10 Weeks.

Birthday Celebrations
Jason's birthday was on June 5th and we celebrated by going out to Chevy's with friends and then seeing "Indiana Jones 4" at the theater in Santa Row. Because being pregnant has apparently turned me into an old lady, the show time was way too late for me and I ended up sleeping through half of it!! J liked it, though, and that's what counts.
Happy Birthday, Honey!!

Snoogle Update
Apparently someone else is a fan of the snoogle, too. This is what I found when I got out of the shower. Note: My hubs was passed out right next to him.

Two new favorites: PsiBands & The Snoogle!
First thing is first: My new best friend might just be "The Snoogle." It's a giant funny-shaped body pillow to provide comfort and support (esp for pregnant women.) Since I have been tossing and turning more than ever lately and planned on buying one of these eventually anyway, J and I made a trip to Babies R Us to grab it.

Ahhhh........ heaven.
The other goodie I picked up recently are PsiBands (fashionable answer to SeaBands) for my morning sickness. My doctor recommended them, so I figured they are worth a try. It's been hard for me to eat lately because I've had ZERO appetite with an upset stomach. I haven't had these long, but they seem to be helping!

I got the turquoise ones with cherry blossoms.

'Sex and the City' Pre-Movie Party Fun!
A group of us had a fun pre-movie party at my good friend Tiffany's house. She went all out with decorations and yummy food and delicious cosmos. She even had a SATC raffle with awesome prizes that Char won!

We watched a few of the very first episodes to get newbie Sarah into it, and then we watched the last few episodes of the series. I loved how they ended the show and I cry every time. It definitely got me in the mood to see the movie and I can't wait until Saturday night to watch it!!
Here are the last few minutes of the last episode.
Hopefully I'll add some photos later. *ahem*Tiffany*ahem*
Edit to add photos! :-D

How we told our parents.
We found out we were pregnant shortly before Mother's Day, so we figured that would be a great day to share the good news. We gave my mom, J's mom, and J's step-mom each a frame that reads "Happy Mother's Day, Grandma! Baby Ridgway is due January 15th, 2009!" (As you may have noticed, the due date has since changed based on our Doctor's calculations.)

Letting the cat out of the bag...
We're pregnant!! The baby (from now on referred to as 'Sprout') is due to make an appearance on January 13th.
J and I are both very thrilled and I am already loving pregnancy.
Here's our 7 week ultrasound and belly picture. I'm already starting to poke-out in the tummy region, so this should get interesting.

So far I've been having about every symptom in the book. The morning (and by morning I mean ALL DAY) sickness has been persistent, but manageable. I've been very tired and have spent a lot of time napping. Mostly I'm just so happy to actually have a baby growing inside of me. On Tuesday when we had the ultrasound done, we got to see Sprout's heartbeat. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!! I'll never forget that moment.

So brace yourself because this blog is about to go baby in a big way.
