J and I stopped by the doctor's office today.
Turns out I failed my 1-Hour Glucose test that checks for Gestational Diabetes. I'm going in for the 3-Hour on Monday morning. The 3-Hour test is more accurate and will give me more of a yes/no answer about if I have GD or not. My mom had GD for both of her pregnancies, so I will not be surprised if I have it. :-/
Apparently I just get to the lab (after fasting all night and morning) and sit on my butt for 3 hours while they make me drink the sugar-drink and draw blood every hour. I definitely can't forget a book!
Oh and I got the a$$-shot of RhoGam for my RH negativity. Wow, that one stings!

I feel numb.
This home-buying process is starting to get to me. Both the loan and the request for extension from the seller are completely up in the air and we're completely out of control with NO type of guarantee that we'll end up in this condo. We've already passed our contingency time, so the seller could call at any moment and say, "Sorry, you're SOL. We're going with someone else."
The lack of communication from the bank (seller) is extremely frustrating. I'm not allowing myself to be stressed out because I want to do whatever I can to keep little Maddie healthy... But now I just feel numb. I'm just counting the days as they go by and making whatever back up plans I can. Tonight I start looking into apartments that will rent to us on a month-to-month basis so that we can house hunt after the baby is born.
I'm going to the New Kids on the Block concert tomorrow night and should be THRILLED (I certainly was when I bought the tickets!), but I'm not too excited about anything right now. I suppose it's better than being completely stressed out, but it still sucks to not really feel like myself.
Okay, enough whining. I know I have a lot to be thankful for. I need to focus on that. Thanks for listening to me.

99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall
Er... I mean 99 days of the pregnancy left! We're now in the double-digits of our countdown. Wow! We'll be 26 weeks tomorrow and have an appointment including my 1-hour glucose test in the morning.
Hopefully the appointment goes pretty smoothly. I'm going to be poked, prodded and injected. I'll be having blood drawn, getting a flu shot, possibly getting my RhoGam shot, and maybe getting an ultrasound to check my "low-lying placenta."

Isn't it ironic?
Isn't it ironic that when I have lots of interesting things to post about is the exact time in my life that I have the least amount of time to post about them??
Things are still absolutely batty around here for us. Maddie is doing great, so thank God for that. House buying is nuts. We're currently waiting on both the bank and the government (wish us luck on THAT. *lol*) and everything is still a bit up in the air. While we think the sale is still going to go through, things could come crashing down in a number of ways.
And just for some added fun: We're going to be temporarily homeless!!! Okay, so that is admittedly dramatic... But we're currently renting a room in my FIL's home while we buy our condo. They've been trying to sell their house for over a year and guess what? It just sold and will in all probability close before our condo does!!
*EEK!!!* All of our things are stored in their garage and we have 2 cats! We're going to have to "couch hop" (luckily we have lots of family and friends to do that) and move all our stuff twice w/in a month. Oh and did I mention I'll be seven months pregnant?!?!
I'm trying to suppress a heart attack by planning planning planning. Tell me I can fix this!
On a positive note, here are some 25 week photos I promised. The first few are of the two slings I got from www.sleepingbaby.net. Thor likes the sling even more than the Moby! He was purring like crazy and nuzzling his face into my neck. A-DOR-ABLE!

Okay, so WHEN did my double-chin show up!? I guess it's good that no one mentioned it, but I did eventually discover it - in THIS photo!

There's more, but that's all I have time for today. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

25 Weeks
I'm 25 weeks pregnant today. :) These last couple days have been interesting. I had some spotting yesterday, which freaked me out. I called the advice nurse and she said it was normal and not to worry. Well, throughout the day I was having cramping and lower back pain and had convinced myself these could be pre-term labor symptoms. I wasn't sure if the cramping was contractions or not.
So I called this morning and they told me to come in. I had an ultrasound and full exam done to check on little Sprout and make sure I wasn't having pre-term labor symptoms. I'm happy to report that I was overreacting and everything looks great. J and I are REALLY relieved! Plus is was great to see our little girl again. It was fun watching her move on the monitor and feeling that same movement. The last time I had an u/s, I wasn't feeling her move very often, so it was definitely different.
Here are some growing-tummy photos that I haven't put up yet:

House Update
Our offer was accepted (YAY!!!), but we have some obstacles to get through before it's really ours. Luckily, the inspections went really well and there's nothing big wrong with the condo. Our appraisal also came in higher than what we're paying for it (wooo!).
Right now we're frantically working on getting all of the financing stuff worked out before we run out of contingency time. It's a little stressful, but we're trying to take it all in stride.

We put in an offer!
DH and I put an offer in on a condo yesterday. It's an REO in San Jose and the bank will be taking a look at our offer today. We know that someone else was planning to put an offer in today, too, so I'm significantly more stressed than I was before.
Their deadline to respond is Wednesday at 5:00PM. We're really hoping that they accept or at least counter.
Now I just have to figure out how to not go crazy during these 3 days. *lol*

Daddy felt her kick!
I was laying on my side on our bed watching TV last night. Maddie was upside down and kicking away at the side of my tummy. All of a sudden I felt the kick on my elbow that was resting above her. I quickly called J over and showed him where she last kicked.
.....wwwaaaaiiiitttt..... KICK! He looked at me as soon as she kicked, so I knew he had felt it. :) It's one of those moments I've been looking forward to this entire pregnancy and will never forget it. ♥

My Update
Yes, I have been neglecting my blog. I fully admit to this. Hopefully I'll update with some pregnancy/life stuff soon.
BUT in my defense, we are HOUSE HUNTING right now. Can you believe it?! We're having a baby and buying our first home all at the same time. We're absolutely nuts and because of that: extremely busy. We're trying to take it all in stride and keep our stress levels low, so my blog is honestly a little low-priority at the moment.
Any positive vibes you can send our way during this house hunting process would be greatly appreciated. We found a place we LOVE and are considering putting an offer in. I'll update if we decide to offer.
Baby Update: I'm 22 weeks along, u/s says she's still a girl, she's very healthy, and she's been kicking all day!! ♥
